I have an idea i.e. to gather all of the salary range of engineers working in Malaysia for all of us to understand who is getting more and who is getting less, what does the workload look like, for example...fresh engineering graduates will be getting around RM40K ++ annually etc. Do post your engineering experience here in Malaysia or overseas. All of the inputs are welcome. This would help and be used as a reference point for other upcoming and future, potential engineers to consider before they step into the engineering field.
In overseas, the engineer union is helping to guard the interest of engineers by maintaining the basic salary structure of engineers in their country. In Malaysia, IEM the union, that is supposed to protect the engineer's interest as well. If anyone has any good ideas on how they are helping or could be helping regular engineers like us, feel free to share them here.
By the way, I'm a software engineer that still OT"ing" while waiting for my software to be compiled.
